Chef Collaboration Dinner at Mr. Crisp

Join us on Wednesday, November 5th for a special Chef Collaboration Dinner at Mr. Crisp, featuring the incredible culinary talents of Chefs Carlos Baez and Michael Izzard.

This one-of-a-kind evening will showcase a thoughtfully curated menu that celebrates the rich Filipino and Puerto Rican cultural backgrounds of these two chefs. Through the use of regional ingredients and partnerships with local vendors, they’ll present an exceptional expression of their heritage through cuisine.

In addition to craft cocktails, mocktails, and sake, the dinner will feature a curated wine pairing, along with a selection of wines by the glass and bottle, presented by Grassroots and available for purchase.

This is a night you won’t want to miss.

Chef Carlos Baez

Carlos Baez, a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, began his career working for some of the best names in the Atlanta’s culinary industry, including Anne Quatrano (Abattoir, Star Provisions), Linton Hopkins (Holeman & Finch), and his mentor, Josh Hopkins (Abattoir, Empire State South). During his time at Empire State South he met his wife, pastry chef Kendall Baez. Shortly after having two children, the couple started looking for a family-friendly city with an up-and-coming food scene. Carlos saw Greenville as a perfect fit. He quickly worked his way up the ranks at The Anchorage under chef/owner Greg McPhee, becoming Chef de Cuisine. After working for three years at the Anchorage, Carlos took the helm at Mr. Crisp, establishing a new standard of fresh, local seafood.

Chef Michael Izzard

Michael Izzard was born in the Philippines the raised in Arizona prior to spending his early twenties between Switzerland and Morocco. He began his culinary career in San Francisco soon after. His cuisine distills the food he grew up eating with techniques learned throughout a decade spent cooking at the 2 and 3 Michelin Star level in California.
